Well, I went for the ultrasound yesterday, and although everything looks good, we didn't get any pictures. She was not the best technician we have ever had, and besides that, it was very difficult to even see the baby on the screen. She is getting so big! The ultrasound is estimating that her weight is 2 lbs, 10 oz. I hope they are wrong, and this is only an estimate. Baby should be about 1.5 lbs. They are also estimating her due date to be 3/17. (Earlier is good for me!!) I go for my next prenatal appointment on Wednesday, so I am going to verify the information about the weight with him. My sister-in-law Brittany had her baby a couple of weeks ago. They estimated her to be about 7 lbs, and came out just over 5 lbs. My cousin Jenn said that they estimated her first child would weigh 6 lbs and he was 7 when he was born, so I guess you just never know. (Jenn just had her second child, a girl on 12/19. CONGRATULATIONS!!)
I also learned that Piper's little feet are REALLY close to my bladder. Hmm, I wonder if this is why several times a day I feel like I have to "go" every 20 minutes. I bet she is kicking my bladder!!
Anyway, even though we couldn't see everything as clear as we could at 20 weeks, it's still nice to see her little heart beating and all her cute little parts.
Today is my sister-in-law, Angie's birthday. Happy Birthday Aunt Angie!!
Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I am posting a picture of Vaughn and I from Christmas at my brother's house. Not much to report right now. I am 27 weeks. Pretty soon, (29 weeks) I will be in the 3rd trimester....the home stretch. I am going for what may be my last ultrasound today. I will post those pictures tomorrow if they give them to me on CD. The doctor said I could have another ultrasound at 32 weeks, but it gets very difficult to see the baby at that time. If we do have one, it will only be for the doc to check her weight and progress.
Friday before Christmas, Vaughn went out with the "boys" from work. I picked him up and went in to meet everyone. It was so nice to hear them tell me how excited Vaughn is about Piper. You know how men can be....But they just kept saying how Vaughn gives them "weekly updates". I always knew that he is excited, but it means so much for coming from the guys.
We hope everyone is doing well!

Ultrasound Pictures

These are the ultrasound pictures from November 7, 2007. If you look closely, one picture looks like Skeletor (from He-Man) Another is just below the waist, showing she is a girl, and in the other she has her index finger in her mouth. Notice the cute little bubbles above her head!! (You can click on the pictures to make them bigger)

Welcome to Piper's Blog
Hi Everyone,
I am just getting started. Piper is due on March 27, 2008. For now, I will update on how and what Vaughn and I are doing to prepare for her arrival.
As of this week, I am 24 weeks along. She is kicking like crazy!! A very active child she will be! I will try to post pictures of my growing belly over the next few days. Along with pictures of her room as we get started. The theme is going to be pink and brown lady bugs and polka dots.
We hope everyone is doing well!
Love,
Tracy
